Evans Literacy Associates

Our Services
At Evans Literacy Associates, we are committed to helping students build strong speech, language, and literacy skills through diagnostic assessments as well as personalized, evidence-based instruction. We specialize in supporting struggling readers, individuals with dyslexia, individuals with dysgraphia, and those needing targeted intervention in speech, language, reading, writing, and spelling.

We offer comprehensive literacy services (both assessments and interventions) tailored to the unique needs of each student. Our interventionists design customized learning plans to ensure success for every student. We ensure that all of our students receive multi-sensory instruction that incorporates movement, speaking, listening, and visualizing. We offer specialized programs through Sound for Life and Harkla for multi-sensory integration that students can add on to their intervention.
Assessments for Reading and Speech
We are able to screen for and fully assess reading, language, and speech disorders and deficits. For those considering testing for a diagnosis of Dyslexia, we work with a local psychologist to complete assessments and appropriate documentation.
Intervention
We use screener data, school diagnostic data, school reports and IEP's, and interviews with guardians and students to create an individualized intervention plan for each student. Our intervention sessions use evidence-based programs, like Barton Reading and Spelling and UFLI Foundations, and multi-sensory activities and programs to enhance the learning process.
We progress monitor our students as they progress through intervention to determine how much they are learning and if there are gaps that still need to be filled.
ALL intervention is given by certified educators and is one-on-one with each student to ensure they get exactly what they need.
Supporting Parents and Guardians
Our interventionists meet with parents/guardians briefly after intervention to give feedback on the session. Formal intervention and progress monitoring reports can be written, by request.
Parents/guardians have the option to schedule extra meetings to discuss their child's progress or to help them understand the school "lingo." If they need assistance understanding the MTSS Process, their child's IEP, or have other questions related to their reading deficits at school we can help!
